  • North Classroom Data Center Testing

    Jul 25, 2023
    OIT is planning on conducting failover testing of the North Classroom Data Center on Sunday, July 30th. This is an estimated 8-hour testing window from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm to evaluate system backup processes and remediate any issues that present. To test these processes, we will be simulating a network outage, but no power or devices will actually be turned off.

  • UIS Data Center Move

    The UIS data center move to CU Anschutz is scheduled to begin at noon on Friday, Oct. 6, through 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct 9. Multiple teams from OIT and Information Security and IT Compliance (ISIC) are working closely with UIS and our IT partners across both campuses to determine the systems and services that will be impacted.

  • Alpine High-Performance Computing (HPC) – New Service Offering

    OIT has been working with the School of Medicine (SOM) and the CU Boulder Research Computing team (CURC) to create a shared HPC resource for researchers on the CU Anschutz campus. Interested in more information about high performance computing with Alpine? The team can attend your department meeting to discuss more about the system’s capabilities and processes to get started. A Microsoft Teams community site has been created for active HPC users to share best practices, resources, and peer-to-peer support. More information about the new Alpine HPC is available on the OIT HPC webpage at cuanschutz.edu/hpc or email questions to the HPC team at [email protected].

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Licensing Updates

    May 9, 2023
    Starting in June of 2023, changes are coming to the current CU Anschutz Medical Campus agreement with Adobe. All current users must download your files from Adobe Creative Cloud storage and save them to a secure university file location prior to June 1, 2023. Your files will be permanently be lost if you don’t take this important step.
