We have heard your feedback and are working to improve the network connectivity across campus. With the success of updating the Education Buildings, Fulginiti Pavilion and Skaggs School of Pharmacy earlier in 2023, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) moved forward with additional Wi-Fi updates across the campus this past fall. Partnered with our vendor, we completed work on replacing aging equipment to enhance Wi-Fi performance in additional buildings across the campus.
Round 0 of the Implementation Phase has been completed and 6 rooms have been updated to meet the standards of the Hybrid Technology Improvement Project. We are now starting Round 1 in this phase which includes the upgrades for 22 classrooms and conference rooms that have been identified. Work on these 22 rooms will begin fall 2023.
OIT is thrilled to announce that as of July 2023, our classroom technology upgrades are underway with the first few classroom transformations completed. The new technology offers a simplified experience with quick setup and a user-friendly interface.
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is focused on the university’s strategic initiatives and technology infrastructure priorities and will be regularly sharing out project updates beginning this month with the Conference Room and Classroom Modernization initiative.
Over the last year, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) has embarked on a Website Redesign Initiative to create an enhanced user experience for the university community and an improved connection to OIT services and teams. Based on feedback and data collected from user testing and conversations with campus leadership, students, faculty and staff, we are excited to announce that we have successfully launched the new CU Anschutz OIT website.
