Cost of Attendance

Cost of attendance is the estimated full cost of one year of school. Your resources, including financial aid, scholarships and loans, cannot exceed your total cost of attendance.

BILLED TO YOUR ACCOUNT

Charges that appear on your student bill. Aid documents call these direct costs.

Tuition. What the university charges for the classes you take.

Campus Fees. Required fees that fund services shared by all students.

Program Fee. A charge tied to your credit load in some programs.

Student Health Insurance. Required coverage. You can waive it if your own plan is comparable.

ESTIMATED, NOT BILLED

What the university estimates you will spend on your own. Aid documents call these indirect costs.

Living Expenses. A monthly allowance for housing, food, transportation and personal costs.

Books and Supplies. An estimate of what your required course materials will cost.

Academic Travel. Travel tied to rotations and required program activity, in some programs.

Loan Fees. A small fee taken out when a federal loan pays out.

Your cost of attendance includes money for living expenses in each month you are enrolled at least half time.

NEW PARENT PLUS LOAN LIMITS Loans first paid out on or after July 1, 2026 have set caps. A parent can borrow $20,000 per year and $65,000 total for each student. Cost of attendance is no longer the only limit. See Federal Loan Updates for the full picture.
