Citizenship Status

A student applicant must be a citizen or national of the United States, or a lawful permanent resident of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa or the Trust Territory of the Pacific. A student who remains in this country on a student or visitor's visa is not eligible. 

Academic Status

The student must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student in a health professions school. The student must be in good standing, as defined by CU Anschutz, and maintaining good standing in the course of study. 

Enrollment Status

Students must be enrolled full-time in programs leading to the following degrees:

  • doctor of allopathic medicine; 
  • doctor of dentistry;
  • bachelor or doctor of science in pharmacy

Financial Need

The student must be in need of financial assistance in order to pursue the full-time course of study at the health professions school in which he or she is enrolled or accepted for enrollment.

Parents' Financial Information

A student applicant must include parents financial information.  This requirement cannot be waived. In cases where the parents refuse to provide income information, an affidavit documenting such a refusal cannot be accepted in lieu of the required information. Unless the parents are deceased, a student who does not provide parental income information may not be considered for Title VII loans.
