The university offers many services to assist you in hosting your events on campus. For more information on what we offer and how to proceed, explore the options below.
Parking and Transportation Services can assist with setting up parking for special events that will be held on campus.
It is important that event organizers for the departments make the parking arrangements BEFORE sending out invitations to the guests. Parking alternatives will vary depending on dates and times of the event. Events submitted with one week or less notice prior to the event may encounter limitations on the services that can be provided. Please note that there is a cost associated with all parking on campus. Rates will depend on the details of the event and are available here.
We look forward to our role in helping to make your event on campus a great success!

University policies require all buildings and facilities on the Anschutz Medical Campus remain locked after normal business hours (With some exceptions, normal business hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM). Access to buildings and interior rooms, elevators and spaces controlled by the electronic security system for special events or temporary changes to a badge holder’s access must be coordinated through the Police Department’s Security Badging Office. For additional information, please contact the Police Department at (303) 724-4444.
Access for event attendees can be accomplished in several ways; event organizers can assign a university staff member to the entrance of the building where the event is occurring to admit attendees. The Police Department can assign a police officer or security officer to admit attendees at the beginning of the event, or assign a police officer or security officer to monitor building entrances for the duration of the event. Please note: it is the responsibility of the event organizer to monitor/supervise caterers and vendors during their event.
Events involving the service of alcohol may require the presence of a police officer. Decisions regarding whether or not a police officer is required are made based on the number of attendees, the location and time of the event, whether or not students are invited, and whether or not the event is opened/closed to the public. For additional information or questions regarding whether or not an officers presence is required, please contact the Police Department at (303) 724-4444.

In an effort to maintain a high level of cleaning standards for those working, attending, or visiting the university, Kleen-Tech has been contracted by the university to perform housekeeping tasks. The university requires those who host events on campus to maintain those standards in the spaces used after their respective events.
Housekeeping services, while free of charge Monday-Friday, must still be requested in EMS in order for Kleen-Tech to identify the need for services. The more accurate our event hosts are about the timing of events, number of attendees and scope of event, the more attentive Kleen-Tech can be in addressing the needs of our clients.
General space cleaning includes trash removal, vacuuming, surface wipe downs, restroom refresh and restocking. If you require additional services, please be detailed in your descriptions in EMS in order for Kleen-Tech to best coordinate the services requested for your event.
If your event requires a more specialized approach and you wish to discuss it, please contact the Customer Service Center at Dispatch@cuanschutz.edu to be connected with the appropriate person to assist you.
If you are planning an event on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus that requires the full or partial closure of a roadway or sidewalk you must submit a request which will be reviewed and approved by the Campus Traffic Committee.
Click this link and fill out the form. AMC Street & Parking Lot Closure Request 09_0923 Rev. It is helpful to attach a sketch, drawing or Google map image marked up with the area of the closure, and the plan to manage traffic (vehicular and or pedestrian) during the closure showing barricades detours etc. Traffic control plans and barricading are the responsibility of the event organizer and are normally procured through an outside vendor. The request will be submitted to Mike Vigil or Elaine Rydberg. Your request will be evaluated and you may be required to attend one of the Weekly Traffic Committee meetings to further discuss and get approval for your closure.
The Weekly Traffic Committee meetings are held each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. via Zoom. After your request is submitted and evaluated you will be contacted by a Traffic Committee member to discuss the next steps needed to facilitate the approval of your request. Please feel free to contact Mike Vigil at 303-921-0415 with any questions or concerns.
