New Integrated Microsoft 365 Directory

For a new directory tool, our Identity Management modernization and improvement project has updated individual name search functionality within the university's Microsoft 365 suite. This offers a better user experience, more reliable data, and more appropriately meets IT security and compliance Standards. It is immediately available for directory use to university faculty, staff, students and researchers.
The People Search function within Microsoft 365 offers integrated directory and name search capabilities across tools like Outlook and Teams. The university community can search for contacts directly in Teams to access contact cards. Additionally, Microsoft Outlook provides several options for people search:
Outlook Webmail: Use the top search bar to find names and view contact details including Name, Email, Phone, Location, MailStop, and Organizational Information.
Outlook for PC Desktop: Select the "people" icon and search for names to access contact information.
Outlook for Mac Desktop: Use the "Search" menu to find names and view contact cards with detailed information.
