Create amazing work for school and beyond with Adobe products. Make the most of the free Adobe Express account the university offers students who need it. Welcome to Adobe

Students on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus can request an Adobe Express license for coursework at no cost. There are limited licenses available so please be sure it is necessary for your coursework completion before submitting a request.

If a student requires the full Adobe Creative Cloud, they need a sponsoring department to submit a request through the faculty and staff webpage and provide a SpeedType for the $100 annual fee. This is intended for student employees and work studies.

Licenses are active for one year from July 1st through June 30th. A new request will need to be submitted each July to continue subscription service.

With Adobe Express

Adobe Express is a reduced version of Adobe Creative Cloud. The applications included in Adobe Express are:

Premiere Rush – Shoot, edit, and share videos
Photoshop Express – Edits and retouch images
Spark Video – Quickly create video slideshows
Spark Page – Turn words and images into gliding webpages

Create social media graphics, flyers, logos, posters, advertisements, banners, business cards, and more. Edit photos and videos, create PDFs, and collaborate with others on your projects. Access professional, on-trend templates, photos, fonts, icons, and design assets.

To Access

Complete the request for Adobe Express by following these steps:

Log in to https://servicecenter.oit.ucdenver.edu/CherwellPortal/IT using your university credentials
After you are logged in, select Make a Request
In the service catalog, select Software and Applications and then select Adobe
Select the tile for Adobe Express
Request a new license by selecting New and complete the form
Click Submit Order

Note: If you would like to cancel your license, please select Disconnect and complete the form.

(Licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud cannot be purchased with a procurement card or credit card so if you need a Creative Cloud license, please go through your sponsoring department and follow the directions for faculty and staff using a SpeedType.)

Next step after being approved for a license

When you submit the order, a service request will be created and you will receive an email with an Incident / Record ID number. Once you receive a follow-up message that you have been approved for a license, you can access the Adobe Express software by going to https://www.adobe.com.

Click on Sign In at the top right-hand corner of the screen
Type in your university email address
Enter your university credentials at the CU Denver | Anschutz Web Login page
Once you're logged in, click Open under the Adobe logo to access the software

Frequently Asked Questions

If you currently have an Adobe Creative Cloud account, please see “What will happen to my cloud assets”. Students have an extension until August 1, 2023 to download their assets.

Every student at CU Anschutz will have free access to Adobe Express in July. All students interested in Adobe Express for their coursework will need to submit a request for access instructions.

Adobe Express is an abridged version of Adobe Creative Cloud but will have the top applications needed for creating graphics, posters, etc. for your project and coursework needs.

OIT will be changing the free Adobe products offered to CU Anschutz students. In July 2023, OIT will transition from providing Adobe Creative Cloud to providing Adobe Express to students at no cost. Licenses are limited so please only request the free Adobe Express license if you need it for your coursework.

Adobe Creative Cloud is available for CU Anschutz student employees for the same $100 fee as faculty and staff. The request needs to be completed by the sponsoring department with a speedtype via the faculty and staff form.

With this change in the university licensing agreement, all current Adobe users will lose access to any files they have saved to the Adobe cloud in June 2023. Please download your files and save them to a secure university file location prior to June 1, 2023. If you need support in transferring your files from Adobe to a secure file location such as OneDrive, our Service Desk is available to assist you.

All current Adobe users will need to download their assets from the Adobe Creative Cloud to a university approved storage location such as OneDrive by June 1, 2023. Files left in the Adobe Creative Cloud after this date may not be accessible, even if you renew your license. Adobe instruction for manually transferring your assets is available here.

With Adobe Express, you will have access to Adobe Express for the web, Adobe Spark Video for mobile (iOS), Adobe Premiere Rush for desktop, Adobe Photoshop Express for mobile (iOS and Android), Adobe Express app for mobile (iOS and Android), Adobe Spark Page for mobile (iOS), and Adobe Premiere Rush for mobile (iOS and Android). As a result, you will have everything you need to create social media graphics, flyers, logos, posters, advertisements, banners, business cards, and more. Additionally, you don’t have to create content from scratch. You can access professional, on-trend templates, photos, fonts, icons, and design assets. You can also edit photos and videos, create PDFs, and collaborate with others on your projects.

Any of the Adobe products can be installed on up to 3 devices for a single license such as a work laptop, a work tablet, and a phone for the same user.

This is for one user and is not able to be shared across multiple users. Each user will need their own license and need to download to their individual devices.

For users who work on shared computers, Adobe products can be accessed via the web browser with no download needed. This is ideal for users who work in computer labs or have shared desks that rotate.
