The university's enterprise instance is the only version of Grammarly (free or paid) that is approved to be used with university data and information. All other instances are not compliant with university IT security and compliance policies or requirements.
Grammarly for Education is a real-time communication assistant that works across many applications to assist users with grammar and usage, phrasing and readability, spelling and so much more. This tool can be used with applications such as Microsoft 365 Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as most browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and university applications like Canvas.
After purchasing the discounted university license, log in with your university credentials and get started!
Use this process if you do NOT already have a Grammarly account associated with your university email.
Process
Use this process if you previously had a free or paid Grammarly account associated with your university-provided email before the university acquired enterprise Grammarly licensing.
You must migrate your personal Grammarly account into the university’s enterprise Grammarly system to use it for university work or learning OR change the email address associated with it to keep it for personal use only and no longer use it with university information. The university enterprise license is the only instance of Grammarly that is secure and compliant to use with university information.
