Degree Audit & Transfer Credit

Degree Audits

A degree audit is an online record showing academic progress toward degree completion in a program. The degree audit uses CU Anschutz completed course work, CU Anschutz courses in progress, and, if applicable, transfer course work (including approved coursework taken at other CU campuses, if applicable). The degree audit provides students and program personnel with a clear picture of courses that a student must complete for graduation.

Online Degree Audits are now available for Undergraduate College of Nursing students enrolled in the Summer 2026 term and forward, and are expected to become more broadly available to other schools and programs over the next several months. Students can access the degree audits via the UCDAccess portal to see how in-progress and completed courses apply to the program degree requirements.

The benefits of using a degree audit include:

  • Tracking degree program requirements
  • Reviewing courses that will be applicable toward a given program
  • Confirming approved course exceptions (as applicable)

Transfer Credit Standards & Policies at CU Anschutz

Pursuant to SB-24-164 and CO Rev Stat § 23-5-150 (2024), the University of Colorado Anschutz reviews and responds to all requests for transfer credit evaluation within 30 calendar days. Courses must meet minimum transfer standards and specific transfer credit policies unique to each program. Transfer credit requests not initially accepted may be appealed through the program’s advising office. If a dispute cannot be resolved between the student and CU Anschutz, a student is at liberty to file a formal complaint with the Colorado Department of Higher Education. All transfer credit standards and policies are published in the catalog.
