Incident Reporting

CU Anschutz is committed to maintaining an environment free from sexual misconduct, and discrimination or harassment based on race, color, national origin, sex, pregnancy, age, disability, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, political affiliation, or political ideology. An employee and/or volunteer who suspects a child participating in a program for minors is being abused, harassed, mistreated, or neglected by any person(s) shall report such information to law enforcement immediately and shall also notify their supervisor and/or the campus administrator. University employees who are mandatory reporters under Colorado law (see C.R.S. § 19-3-304) shall report pursuant to the provisions in that law. 

  • Affiliated youth program staff have a reporting requirement as Campus Security Authorities (CSA) to report a Clery Act Crime occurring within our Clery Geography.
  • The Office of Equity (OE) addresses all complaints of protected class discrimination and harassment, prohibited sexual misconduct, and any related retaliation reported by University students, faculty, staff, and/or third parties.

If a minor discloses complaints of protected class discrimination and harassment, or prohibited sexual misconduct, child abuse, or neglect, one must do all of the following:

Health Conditions & Medical Preparedness - Type 1 Diabetes

Programs working with minors who have Type 1 Diabetes should ensure staff and volunteers are familiar with basic diabetes care, emergency response, and caregiver coordination. The following trainings and resources are recommended.
