Advancement of Scholars in Cancer Education aNd Training (ASCENT)

ASCENT is a two-year mentored cancer research training and professional and career development experience designed to prepare post-baccalaureate students to enroll and succeed in top-tier cancer-related PhD or MD-PhD programs.

Baccalaureate to Medicine and Research (B2MR)

A two-year program for MD and MD-PhD for candidates pursuing a medical degree focusing on becoming clinician-scientists.

Colorado Summer Institute in Biostatistics (CoSIBS)

CoSIBS is a Summer Institute in Biostatistics (SIBS) program that is sponsored by a grant from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The purpose of the NHLBI SIBS program is to introduce advanced undergraduate and early-stage graduate students to the field of biostatistics and the frontiers of data sciences.

Health Innovations Scholars Program (HISP)

The Health Innovations Scholar Program (HISP) is an intensive summer training program for medical students who seek to become future leaders of innovative and transformative change in American healthcare.  We teach a practice of health systems improvement that emphasizes human-centered design.  Our fundamental belief is that solving healthcare's complex problems requires a systematic approach that includes skillful measurement, critical thinking, and above all, empathy for both patients and practitioners alike.

Irving Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health 

​The Irving Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health provides clinical training, consultation, advocacy, and research in infant and early childhood mental health.  Postdoctoral and community fellowships are offered to qualified professionals seeking advanced training in infant and early childhood mental health.


MHA Pathways to Dentistry Program

The MHA Pathway to Dentistry Program ("Pathway Program") provides academic and professional preparation and a pathway to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine’s (SDM) Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) program through the M.S. in Modern Human Anatomy.


PATHGDS (PATHways in Genomic Data Science)

PATH-GDS is a two-year program to introduce and train MS Statistics and MS Applied Mathematics students in genomics research. Our goal is to build an inclusive and representative community of genomic data scientists to foster retention in academia and industry.

School of Dental Medicine International Student Program (ISP)

The International Student Program offers qualified graduates of foreign dental programs the opportunity to earn the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the CU School of Dental Medicine. Graduates of this two-year accelerated DDS program may take any state or regional board, and thus are eligible for licensure and practice ​within the United States.

Certificate in Allied & Professional Health Sciences

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at CU Denver developed a certificate that provides a broad foundation in STEM (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and advanced health-oriented coursework that is essential for both graduate and professional programs and the needs of the health industry.

The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program

The CU Denver Robert Noyce Scholarship Program promotes secondary teaching as a career for undergraduates and post-baccalaureate majors in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through a generous grant from the National Science Foundation, the Noyce Program aims to respond to the critical need for high quality math and science teachers by providing scholarships, research and teaching experiences, and professional development for talented students.

Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP)

From the International Space Station to Mars and the Kuiper Belt, instruments and spacecraft built at LASP explore the cosmos and send back data that are altering our understanding of our home planet, solar system, and the realms beyond.
