When you tap a CU Anschutz SAFE alert buttons, a "timer" circle is shown winding down (like a clock). If you accidentally press any CU Anschutz SAFE Call button, you can cancel the Call by tapping the button again while the "timer" is winding down.

After the Call (Alert) has been sent, you can still cancel your request, but you should remain on the line until Emergency Dispatchers answer the Call; tell them you need to cancel the Call (Alert)

You can set a CHECK-IN TIMER, which checks you in and starts a countdown timer to cover the duration of your work session. The Timer will count down to zero, starting from your nominated time.

At any time, you can tap the Timer to cancel or re-set the time, and you can also Check Out. SafeZone will also automatically finish your session if you leave the coverage boundary.

You will receive a Warning push message at "5 minutes to go" when you can re-set the time, cancel the Timer or Check Out. If the Timer expires, SafeZone will raise an Alert, showing your location and ID on a map.

At this time, CU Anschutz SAFE is primarily only available to subscribers with a university-assigned email address. However, there are some exceptions. Please reach out to the Emergency Management Division to see if your email address can be added.
