    One of the easiest accessibility improvements takes less than a minute: adding alt text to images. Alt text, helps people who use screen readers understand the purpose and meaning of an image. Provide alt text for all meaningful images, and mark decorative images, like border graphics, as decorative when possible.

  • Celebrate Colorado Assistive Technology (AT) Week!Opens in a new window

    Colorado officially recognizes April 20–24 as Assistive Technology (AT) Awareness Week, highlighting how AT empowers people with disabilities and older adults to live, learn, and work on their own terms. The CU Denver Center for Innovative Design and Engineering (CIDE) is celebrating this week by sharing stories and resources about the impact of AT. CIDE provides device loans, demonstrations, expert guidance, and financing support to help people get the technology they need. This week also aligns with National AT Awareness Day on April 22, amplifying the message that AT is access, independence, and opportunity for all.
