At a complex organization like University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, getting your message across effectively to the right audience at the right time can be a challenge.
Understanding the tools and channels available can help you increase the effectiveness of your communications.
The CU Anschutz Medical Campus adopted its first mass electronic communications policy ‒ CU Anschutz Policy 3019A ‒ in March 2023 to streamline and target campus communications, and to better align with CU systemwide policy APS 6002.
Under the policy, messages sent to the entire campus are only permitted when they meet specific guidelines and have leadership-level approval. This includes messages sent through the CU eComm program and Outlook Listservs.

The University of Colorado eComm program is the CU system’s official solution for email marketing and event management.
This suite of applications ‒ including Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and Cvent ‒ enables eComm users to engage with internal and external audiences in a compelling, compliant and data-driven manner.
The CU eComm program provides licensed CU Anschutz communicators with innovative digital tools that are secure and aligned with university policy and federal law. The program draws real-time data from CU’s employment and academic databases. Professional templates help ensure your communications meet branding and accessibility standards.
Please note that there is a subscription fee and training required to obtain a CU eComm license. More information is available below.
