Annual Waiver Information
The Fall waiver period is the annual waiver period for the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).
- If your Fall waiver is approved, it remains valid for the entire academic year (August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027).
- You do not need to submit another waiver for the Spring or Summer semesters during that academic year.
- A new waiver is required at the beginning of each new academic year during the Fall waiver period.
Spring and Summer waivers are only required for students who begin their program at CU Anschutz during the Spring or Summer semester. If you are a continuing student with an approved Fall waiver, no additional waiver is required.
*Summer ONLY SHIP coverage is intended for students who are new to CU Anschutz and begin their program during the Summer semester. Students who were enrolled during the Fall or Spring semester and have already completed an approved waiver for the current academic year do not need to submit a separate Summer waiver.
