Transit Passes
RTD’s Eco Pass is an employee benefit offered to all staff and faculty at CU Anschutz. This pass gives you unlimited rides on fixed-route bus, commuter rail, and light rail. Eco Pass is accessed via RTD’s MyRide app – simply activate your pass, scan a QR code on your phone when you board, and enjoy the journey.
CU Anschutz students have access to a similar transit pass called College Pass. Please see more information about College Pass for current students.
Who Has Eco Pass:
Eco Pass is automatically included for employees with the following parking permits:
- Regular Parking
- Reserved Parking
- Rock Lot Parking
- Part-Time (<19 Hours/Week or 12 Days/Month) Parking
For employees with the following parking permits, or employees without a parking permit, Eco Pass can be purchased from the Parking & Transportation Office for $25/month. This fee would be automatically deducted from your paycheck, and pre-tax dollars can be used.

- No Parking Permit

Routes & Stops Near Campus
Bus:
Light Rail:
A Line – Union Station to DIA: Service from Peoria Station, about 2 miles north of campus. Use R-Line light rail or the 121 bus route to reach Peoria Station from campus.
Campus Circulator & Medical Rail Shuttle:
Campus Circulator Service: Offers on-demand intercampus transportation for patients, visitors, students, faculty and staff. Vehicle will be minivan or electric cart depending on the weather. Call the facilities dispatch center at 303-724-1777 at least 10 minutes before needed pickup. Specify location of pickup, destination, time of pickup, and number of people needing a ride.
Medical Campus Rail Shuttle: This campus shuttle makes stops at central locations on campus and provides transportation to the R-Line at Fitzsimons Station. Service is provided on weekdays 6:00am-5:00pm. Please call 303-726-2809 if you are waiting at a stop.
