Goodwill of Colorado - IT Training Program Information Session

Goodwill of Colorado’s LIFT IT Training program offers CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ training free of charge to eligible participants. These certifications help members of the community advance their career in the IT and Cybersecurity fields. Each IT Training course provides hands-on learning workshops, soft skills overview workshops, online videos, textbooks, practice quizzes and a paid voucher for the certification exam. All classes offer a flexible schedule and can be taken alongside full-time employment. Mile High Behavioral Healthcare - Transgender Day of Visibility

Transgender refers to someone whose gender identity does not match their sex assigned at birth.  For a community who is often unseen and invalidated in terms of their needs, rights and true authentic identities, Transgender Day of Visibility is an important occasion where we can say to the community, "We see you."  We see each of you in your beautiful, perfect and glorious selves.  We see your euphoria and trans joy.  We see you living your lives as they were meant to be lived.  We see you overcoming barriers, obstacles, and discrimination.  We see and support you and are working towards better days for all of us.  We invite you to join us to show your support and appreciation of the transgender community.  Entertainment, food and beverages will be on hand and we hope you will join us as we proudly support those who are transgender! National Institute of Health INCLUDE Data Coordinating Center - Training Event
The INCLUDE Data Coordinating Center (DCC) is hosting an in-person, immersive summer course in data sciences known as the Data Science for Diverse Scholars in Down Syndrome Research (DS3) this summer. *Each attendee's travel (domestic and international), lodging and per diem expenses will be fully paid.

Participants will learn the basics of how to generate, identify and collect high-content multidimensional datasets; their management, analysis, and visualization; as well as the development of key professional skills required for the career advancement. 

Priority will be given to applications from underrepresented populations as defined by the NIH (more information can be found here), but all interested trainees are encouraged to apply.  Click here for more information, including details on how to apply.

CU Anschutz Center for Health, Work, and Environment and Center for Bioethics and Humanities - Fair Chance Hiring, From Ethics to Implementation

Join the Center for Health, Work and Environment and the Center for Bioethics and Humanities as we continue to explore the intersection of ethics and the future of work. In the first webinar of 2023, we will focus on the challenges and opportunities surrounding ethical hiring and retention practices for people who have experienced incarceration.

CU Anschutz Office of Student Affairs - Basic Life Support Certification

The Office of Student Affairs offers Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for CU alumni, faculty, staff, students, and unaffiliated community members.  This is a four-hour traditional classroom course where BLS is taught and demonstrated.  Participants learn to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, and use an AED.  You don't need to be a healthcare provider to participate.  The BLS course provides a two-year certification through the American Heart Association.  There are both new certification and renewal certification classes offered.  Click here for more information.
