Centers and Institutes Branding

To support a unified and recognizable CU Anschutz brand, only select designated centers and institutes will receive an official standalone logo. Designation is based on campus-approved agreements such as legal and formal naming, gift agreements or MOUs.

All centers and institutes – whether or not they have a standalone logo – should follow the updated editorial naming guidelines to ensure brand consistency in all written and digital materials. Center and institute names should appear as “CU Anschutz [Center or Institute Name]” on first reference. More guidelines can be found here.

Approved Named Center Examples

Example logo structure for qualifying centers and institutes:

Primary:

Side by side:

Partnership and Affiliate Examples

Centers that are jointly branded with another entity - such as those within the Colorado School of Public Health or the Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine - will continue to use their established tri-entity or co-branded logos.

Example:

UCHealth and CU Anschutz logos next to each other with the words Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine underneath

All Other Centers and Institutes

Centers and institutes that do not meet the criteria above will use the standard CU Anschutz logo accompanied by their center or institute name in text only (see example below). Please ensure the text is positioned with appropriate white space around the CU Anschutz logo and that no connecting graphic line is used, to avoid creating a new individual logo or lockup.

By aligning under a unified brand structure, we enhance the visibility and credibility of all CU Anschutz entities while honoring key legacy and partnership identities.
