Housing Resources and Reference Documents

Interested in Offering your Home to CU Anschutz Students During Clinical Rotations?

By opening your home to a student, you are supporting the next generation of health professionals and strengthening access to care in rural and underserved areas.

Homeowners who participate in the Colorado AHEC housing network agree to provide:

  • A safe and respectful environment – A home that is safe, secure, and free from harassment or discrimination of any kind.
  • Clean, functional space – A private bedroom (or clearly defined sleeping area) that is clean, furnished, and in good working order.
  • Access to basic amenities – Reasonable access to a bathroom, kitchen space, and common areas, including use of appliances as agreed upon.
  • Clear house guidelines – Written or verbal expectations about guests, quiet hours, smoking/vaping, pets, parking, shared spaces, and other household norms.
  • Open communication – Willingness to communicate promptly about scheduling, arrival/departure, questions, or any housing concerns.

Homeowners are compensated for their participation and housing arrangements may vary by region.

If you are interested in providing housing for a health professions student completing a clinical rotation in your community, please email us.
