COVID-19

New Guidelines Take Effect Today

June 1, 2021

Dear students, faculty and staff,

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter: summer has arrived, and with the relaxing of COVID-19 protocols across the state, we have adjusted our Return to Campus Guidelines to reflect these changes.

Please watch the video below for a brief overview of our new Return to Campus guidelines.

Return to Campus

The two biggest changes to our protocols effective today pertain to our daily health questionnaire and mask guidance.

Those vaccinated are no longer required to fill out the daily health questionnaire to be on campus. Masks are optional, indoors and out, with the exception of clinical settings, and in conference rooms and classrooms when attendance exceeds the approved COVID-posted capacity, regardless of vaccination status.

Unvaccinated individuals are required to fill out the daily health questionnaire each day you plan to be on campus. Masks will continue to be mandatory for unvaccinated individuals at all times, except when outdoors and 6 feet or more from others, or when working alone indoors in a fully enclosed space.

You can find the full rundown of our Return to Campus Protocols here.

Thank you for doing your part over the past 15 months to help bring #CUAnschutzTogether and keep our campus community safe. We ask that you follow our new guidelines to ensure we maintain our forward momentum and continue to safeguard the most valuable asset on our campus – our people.

I’m grateful to each one of you for the talent, tenacity and commitment you bring to the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, and to our mission. Together, we have faced unprecedented challenges and we are prevailing.

Wishing you a healthy, joyful summer.

Sincerely,

Don Elliman

Chancellor
