*Urgent*, Additional COVID-19 Vaccine Documentation Required by U.S. Executive Order, 12-8-21

Dear CU Anschutz community,

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is now required by federal law to comply with COVID-19 safety precautions, including verification of employee COVID-19 vaccination.

President Biden issued the new federal mandate in September - Executive Order 14042 - which requires employee vaccination verification, in addition to safety protocols already in place on our campus including masking and physical distancing. CU Anschutz is subject to this order by virtue of the federal contracts our campus holds with federal agencies.

Our campus is in a fortunate position, having completed our own COVID-19 vaccine verification process earlier this fall. Now, we just need to document that verification in a way that meets the federal requirement. It is essential that we take action now, as our campus risks losing federal funding if we do not comply with these new requirements in full.

Please take action today - and no later than December 31 - to document your COVID-19 vaccination status and bring CU Anschutz into compliance with this federal mandate.

Find the most updated instructions to complete the vaccination verification process, here.

If you have received a COVID-19 booster vaccine, you may also enter your booster information where indicated. Boosters are available to all Coloradans 18 and older six months or more after the initial Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series, or two months after receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. I encourage you to schedule your booster when eligible, either through UCHealth My Health Connection, another medical provider or any vaccine provider.

If you previously filed for and were granted an exemption to the CU Anschutz vaccine requirement, there is no further action needed on your end at this time.

Thank you for taking action now to help keep #CUAnschutzTogether.
