In October, the university-provided OneDrive storage limits will be updated for current faculty, staff and students in an effort to standardize storage based on actual utilization, improve sustainability, reduce overall cost and have low to no impact for 98% of users. This change does not impact shared storage (SharePoint or Teams).  

New Individual OneDrive Storage Allocations:  

• 100 GB for current faculty and staff  
• 50 GB for current students  

(1 GB = 10,000 pages of documents, 250 images, or 15-30 minutes of HD video) 

To ensure you continue to use your OneDrive with minimal to no disruption, the new storage allocations will be applied in groups based on current usage. In early October, storage limits will be applied to accounts utilizing less than 80% of their allocated OneDrive.    

No files will be deleted with the implementation of these limits. If your OneDrive capacity is more than the allocated storage use, ISS will be reaching out to assist you with cleaning up your storage, purchasing additional storage, or migrating it to another secure location that may be better for your needs.
