COVID-19 & the CU Anschutz Community

September 25, 2020

A Message from Chancellor Elliman

With COVID-19 cases on the rise again in Colorado, it is a fitting time to remind ourselves to take every precaution to keep ourselves and one another safe and healthy.

All of us have a vital role to play in keeping our community strong, and I am grateful for your continued cooperation. We are updating our COVID dashboard regularly, and at this time, remain unaware of any COVID-positive employee or student exposed while on campus.

Please continue to do your part by wearing a mask, keeping your distance from others, and staying home when you’re sick.

Thank you for helping keep #CUAnschutzTogether.

Sincerely,

Don Elliman

Chancellor

Coming to Campus After Hours & Weekends

Approved for on-campus activity and need to access CU Anschutz facilities after hours or on the weekends? Please note that our daily health questionnaire is still a requirement, even when checking in at self-service campus check-in locations, including the Hensel-Phelps lobby and the Strauss Health Sciences Library. Thank you for completing the form before arrival, wearing a mask at all times, and observing posted signage. You help keep #CUAnschutzTogether.

Family Care Services Coming to You Soon

We look forward to sharing details of a new care program, and more information from the Human Resources Office will be coming soon. Visit the childcare and elder care webpage for area resources available to members of the CU community today, including childcare, before- or after-school care, preschool and remote learning assistance.

Reminder: Get Your Flu Shot By-Appointment-Only Through 10/15

Call the CU Anschutz Campus Health Center at 303-724-6242 to make your annual flu shot appointment. Most insurance plans cover the cost, and self-pay is also available. All students, faculty and staff may get their flu shot on campus, regardless of whether you are approved for on-campus working or learning. Find details on the Campus Health Center website

Appointments are offered most Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through 10/15, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., or as needed. You may also visit the Belleview Point Clinic curbside flu clinic on 10/7.

On-campus clinics are located in a tent in the Monte Vista parking lot south of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center at your scheduled time. Designated patient parking spaces and outdoor waiting areas will be clearly marked. Please do not arrive early or late, and do not enter the Wellness Center building. Due to COVID-19, appointments, mask-wearing and pre-appointment screening are required. A 15-minute post-vaccine waiting period is recommended, and waiting space is available.
