Who We Are



The CU Anschutz Retired Faculty Association (RFA) is an organization comprised of retired faculty from the University of Colorado Anschutz, and offers support to those considering retirement.

The RFA is led by elected Officers and an Executive Council. Standing Committees are open to all. If you are interested in participating please email [email protected].

Our Mission

The RFA's purpose is to foster the interests and well-being of retired faculty members of CU Anschutz, support social and educational opportunities, maintain active ties with the university, encourage volunteerism, mentorship/supporting junior faculty, and advocate for issues of concern to retired faculty and for faculty looking to retire.

Our Vision

  • Promote the interests and welfare of CU Anschutz staff retirees.
  • Facilitate mutually supportive relationships between retirees and CU Anschutz.
  • Help members understand the CU Anschutz resources available to them. 
  • Represent the views and concerns of retirees to the University administration.
  • Foster the enjoyment of new, continued and renewed friendships among members.
  • Provide a connection to campus life for retirees that includes participation in educational and entertaining programs, social events and volunteer activities.

Committees

The RFA shall establish standing and special committees. Standing Committees include:

Manages elections, including preparing a slate of officer candidates for election.
Recruits new members and maintains rosters.
Plans academic, research, educational, cultural, and social events.
Reviews budgets, recommends dues, and audits financial records.
Oversees the newsletter, website, and public information.
Works with the Faculty Affairs Office and Human Resources to optimize faculty retirement.
