A Message from the Interim Chief Human Resources Officer, Doug Kasyon

With more than 15,000 employees, the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Medical Campus represent one of the largest employers in the Denver metro region.  We attract employees from local communities, and from around the globe into a variety of academic, research and administrative roles.  Our workforce is united by the University’s mission of research, teaching and service.  We are an integral part of the University of Colorado system, serving close to 20,000 students.

In the heart of downtown, CU Denver is Colorado’s only public urban research university.  CU Denver offers 140 highly rated undergraduate and graduate programs in Architecture & Planning, Arts & Media, Business, Education & Human Development, Engineering and Applied Science, Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Public Affairs.

Located in Aurora, Colorado, CU Anschutz Medical Campus is the only comprehensive academic health sciences center in Colorado, and the largest in the Rocky Mountain region.  As one of the newest education, research and patient care facilities in the world, CU Anschutz trains the health sciences workforce of the future by blending education, research and clinical care all in one place.  The 230 acre Anschutz Medical campus hosts the College of Nursing; the Schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy and Public Health, the Graduate School, a Health Sciences Library and two nationally recognized hospitals.

Like our prominent schools and centers, the central Human Resources office for the two campuses is committed to serve.  Within the framework of CU System policies, we establish campus-specific policies and programs, and partner with our schools and colleges on all aspects of talent management.  Our mission is to attract, retain and develop a workforce that supports the goals and mission of CU.

Our vision is to strategically partner with the people we serve.  Through that partnership, we help to achieve the university’s goals, contribute to the transformative role our faculty and staff play in the future of our students, our community and the world, and maximize the potential of every employee to be exceptional at what they do.

We are excited to provide service every day to our constituents and partners, and I encourage you to explore our web site and the many options you have to support your own development and career goals.
