Efficacy of Virtual Reality Training for Physical Therapy Students
The study is designed to investigate the efficacy of virtual reality (VR) for deliberate practice of movement analysis as part of the physical therapist examination and clinical reasoning process. The primary goals of the project are to understand the feasibility of utilizing VR in a physical therapy curriculum and understand PT students’ attitudes about utilizing VR to practice movement analysis and examination skills.

Scholarly Agenda
My scholarly agenda is twofold. First, my clinical research focuses investigating human movement patterns and muscle performance during functional activity, and ways physical therapists can intervene to optimize movement quality and therefore physical function and quality of life for patients following total hip replacement. Second, my educational research focuses on exploring educational methods related to teaching evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning for entry-level DPT students.
