    Plan an Event

    To help the CU Anschutz community successfully plan events on campus, we've gathered support resources, information about reserving space, and policies related to events to assist those who are producing meetings and events of their own.

    Announcement of New Service Charges Effective July 1, 2023

    To better support the large number of events** being held on campus, beginning July 1, 2023, service charges will be applied to internal reservations for large venues, open spaces and outdoor areas taking place outside of business hours and on weekends. 

    External agency events (in conjunction with an approved internal co-sponsor) will incur new charges based on when the event is taking place. 

    •Internal Entities

    •Normal working hours: 6am-6pm (Mon-Fri), No Charge
    •After hours: Occurring anytime before 6am or after 6pm (Mon-Fri), $300 per occurrence, per day
    •Weekends $800 per occurrence, per day
    •External Entities
    •Normal working hours: Occurring anytime between 8am-5pm (Mon-Fri), $400 per occurrence, per day
    •After hours: Occurring anytime before 8am or after 5pm (Mon-Fri), $800 per occurrence, per day

    •Weekends: $1,300 per occurrence, per day

     

    **Does not apply to credit-bearing courses, Student Affairs-approved student group functions, Advancement events, or pre-collegiate programs.

    The service charge is independent of expenses related to campus support services, including audio visual, Facilities set-up, parking, police coverage, etc.
