Launching June 1: Summer Food Drive to Support Campus Community
Campuswide initiative will provide food, hygiene items and pet supplies for CU Anschutz faculty, staff and students in need this summer.
May 26, 2026
The CU Anschutz Staff Council and the CU Anschutz Food Pantry are partnering to host a campuswide Summer Food Drive from June 1 – 12, 2026, in recognition of National Hunger Day on June 6.
The drive is open to everyone across campus, whether they want to donate or receive support. The initiative is designed to help faculty, staff and students experiencing food insecurity or needing additional assistance with hygiene products and pet supplies.
Throughout the two-week drive, donations collected across campus will directly support the CU Anschutz Food Pantry and the community members who rely on it for essential resources.
Donation drop-off locations include:
- Anschutz Health Sciences Building
- Education 2 North Building
- Fitzsimons Building
- Research 1 North Building
Community members are encouraged to donate the pantry’s most-needed items, including shelf-stable foods, hygiene products and pet supplies.
Those unable to donate can still support the effort by:
- Printing and displaying our official event flier in shared spaces throughout your office or department, and
- learning more through the CU Anschutz Food Pantry webpage.
Thank you for helping spread the word and support our campus community.
