Jake Miller is the Director of Ventures & Product Development at CU Innovations, the commercialization and venture arm of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. In this role, he leads the creation and growth of new healthcare and life science ventures, translating cutting-edge research into impactful products and companies.
Prior to joining CU Anschutz, Jake served as the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Kentucky, mentoring founders through the Launch Blue pre-seed accelerator, incubator, and startup lab programs, as well as supporting XLerateHealth’s NIH-funded regional accelerator network.
Jake was previously the founder & CEO of Toggle Health, a med-tech company that improved surgical workflows by enabling sterile, wireless control of digital content in the operating room. With 25 years of product development experience - 20 of them focused on launching new businesses and startups in the healthcare space - Jake has driven innovation for organizations including Target, Walgreens and Humana.
He holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Bellarmine University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and is an experienced practitioner and mentor in lean launch methodology.
