The CU Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (CU CIPE) is dedicated to cultivating a culture of collaboration across CU Anschutz. Our mission is to graduate team-ready health professionals equipped with the skills to work effectively within interprofessional teams.
The IOCP brings together individuals from diverse professional backgrounds across the CU Anschutz campus to engage in programming that is both personally enriching and community-oriented. Each fall, first-year students from the College of Nursing, School of Dental Medicine, School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, and Physical Therapy programs are encouraged to participate. IOCP offerings are designed to be inclusive and accessible to all members of the Anschutz Medical Campus.
Each year, CU CIPE and the IOCP select a central theme to guide campus-wide engagement. This year, we continue our commitment to the One Health framework — an approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.
This year’s theme is inspired by a student-generated proposal and supported by CU CIPE and IPE Student Representatives across health profession programs. The selected book is:
"Everything is Tuberculosis" by John Green
This powerful and thought-provoking work aligns deeply with One Health principles and offers a compelling lens through which to explore interprofessional collaboration and global health challenges.
