Gianna Morales became part of the Center for Bioethics and Humanities in 2019, embarking on her journey with the Certificate in Health Humanities and Bioethics. Since then, her involvement has deepened as she took on the role of Ethics Ambassador for UCHealth’s ethics consult service and committee. In Fall 2022, she transitioned into the role of clinical ethicist. Gianna is an active member of the UCHA Ethics Committee, co-chairs the CBH Clinical Ethics Education Council, and is the director for the Clinical Ethics Ambassador Program (CEAP). Gianna is involved in a variety of qualitative research projects, including projects aimed at capturing patient’s cultural values in the electronic health record and understanding moral distress experienced by pre-hospital employees.

In addition to her work at the Center, Gianna has dedicated six years to clinical research at the University of Colorado Cancer Center and the Gastroenterology Division. Her earlier experience includes diverse laboratory roles focused on bench research.
