Amanda was previously an Associate Professor of Health Care Ethics in the Division of Health Ethics, Administration, and Leadership at Regis University. She earned her PhD in Health Care Ethics from Saint Louis University and her MA in Bioethics from Loyola Marymount University. Dr. Hine’s work focuses on clinical and applied ethics, with a particular emphasis on capacity, informed consent, and decision-making authority.
She is committed to bridging academic scholarship and clinical practice, believing that the most meaningful work in bioethics emerges from the collaboration between the two. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Hine remains actively engaged in the Denver healthcare ethics community through service on hospital ethics committees, clinical ethics consultation, and participation on local and national healthcare ethics boards and task forces.
