PeopleSoft Time and Labor Project

The Time & Labor (T&L) Project is a University of Colorado systemwide initiative to modernize and unify our timekeeping system. We are replacing outdated tools—including the MyLeave system, manual timekeeping processes and designated third-party systems  with PeopleSoft T&L. This new system will provide a single, streamlined solution for all CU employees.

This upgrade will benefit faculty, staff, student workers, graduate students and postdocs across campus.

Why is MyLeave being replaced?

MyLeave has served CU for years, but it no longer meets our evolving needs. Here’s why we’re transitioning:

  • Compatibility Issues – MyLeave does not integrate well with other software.
  • Department Challenges – It is impractical for many departments to use.
  • Outdated Features – The system is hard to update and lacks modern functionalities.

How This Benefits You

No matter your role—whether you are faculty, staff, a student worker, graduate student or postdoc—here’s how the new system will make your life easier:

  • Modern Interface – Easily report time and leave.
  • Fewer Systems – Save time and reduce errors.
  • Improved Payroll Accuracy – Reliable data leads to more accurate paychecks.

Project Goals

  • Unify Timekeeping – Bring all processes into one system.
  • Boost Accuracy & Efficiency – Improve compliance and reduce errors.
  • Future-Ready Design – Build a scalable system that grows with CU.
  • Better User Experience – Make timekeeping intuitive and accessible.

Timeline

  • Current Phase: We are now in the Build Phase, which will continue through January 2026. During this phase, we are actively developing the Time & Labor system, ensuring it aligns with CU’s unique requirements. This follows the successful completion of the Design Phase in mid-September 2025, where we finalized and approved system designs tailored to CU’s needs.
  • Tentative Go-Live Date: September 2026.

Support Resources Coming Soon

We are committed to supporting you every step of the way. As we move into later phases of the project, we’ll provide:

  • Town Hall sessions
  • Live and virtual training
  • Demos and simulations via Skillsoft Percipio
  • Step-by-step instructional guides
  • Campus-specific sessions and post-Go-Live office hours

We will keep you informed as these resources become available, along with key decisions and project updates.
