Updating Our Hybrid Work Model, 9-16-2025

Dear colleagues,

As we enter another busy fall season, we want to thank you for your continued dedication to CU Anschutz and share an important update to our current hybrid work model.

Over the past several years, we’ve embraced new ways of working while continuing to deliver across all our mission areas. Through it all, one constant has remained clear: CU Anschutz thrives when we come together. We have seen firsthand the benefits of in-person collaboration ‒ and the energy, creativity and connection that arise when we work side by side in our labs, classrooms, clinics and offices.

To build on that momentum together, we will transition to a minimum of three in-person workdays per week on campus, beginning January 5, 2026. This change will apply to university operations and does not impact operations in our clinics or our hospital affiliates. Specific schedules will be coordinated with your supervisor and aligned with the needs of your school, department or unit.

While this model brings a more consistent on-campus presence, we remain committed to supporting flexibility wherever possible ‒ balancing individual needs with our shared responsibility to foster a vibrant, collaborative campus environment for one another and those we serve.

We understand this shift may require planning and adjustment, and we encourage you to work with your supervisor to prepare for this change in schedule. Over the coming months, we will be taking steps to help ensure a smooth transition on campus.

Details about the upcoming changes are on the Human Resources website, and your supervisor and unit leadership are available to answer any questions.

Thank you for all you do to make CU Anschutz such a dynamic and inspiring place to work. We look forward to a productive fall ‒ and to welcoming the new year together on campus.

Sincerely,

Don Elliman
