Maryam Guiahi MD, MSc and colleagues recently published
Patient Views on Religious Institutional Health Care, a study which found that only 6% of U.S. adults consider religious affiliation when selecting a health care facility, yet the majority (71%) believe their health choices should take precedence over an institution's religious beliefs.
