Temporary ODAI Testing Locations

Due to the construction of new testing space outside the existing ODAI office suite during September and October, ODAI is temporarily relocating testing operations throughout the Strauss Health Sciences Library. While all testing will still occur within the library, we will be utilizing a number of new library spaces.

Students receive email reminders two days before each test scheduled with ODAI. Those reminders now contain the specific location of each test. Students should check their specific testing location one day prior to each test to ensure they know where to arrive on the test day. This can be done either by logging into the AIM student portal and viewing their upcoming tests, or by looking at the email reminder that was sent for the test. Students should plan to arrive at the library approximately ten minutes early for a test in a new location to ensure adequate time to find the space.

Below are instructions and maps for each of the new testing spaces ODAI is utilizing during the construction process. We anticipate this disruption being finished by the end of October, at which point we will resume using our typical testing spaces on the first floor of the library.

Conference Room 2104 is located on the second floor of the Strauss Health Sciences Library. You can use either stairs or an elevator to get to the second floor. To use the elevator, go past the service desk and turn right into the alcove, where you will find the elevator to take to the second floor. Alternatively, you can walk past the service desk and use the circular staircase to get to the second floor. Once you are on the second floor, Conference Room 2104 is to your left across from the outdoor balcony. See the below floor plan of the second floor of the Library for more detail. The room circled in red at toward the bottom of the image is Conference Room 2104.

Conference Room 3203 is on the third floor of the Strauss Health Sciences Library. To get to it, after entering the front door of the library, go past the service desk and turn right to enter the alcove with the elevator (or use the round staircase just past the service desk). Take the elevator (or the stairs) to the third floor. Once there, go to your right near the restrooms. Conference Room 3203 is near the other study rooms on this side (the East side) of the library. See the floor plan below for more detail. The room circled in red that is furthest to the right in the floor plan is Conference Room 3203.

The Reading Room is located on the third floor of the Strauss Health Sciences Library, directly above the ODAI office suite. To find the Reading Room, after you enter the front door of the library, go past the large staircase on your left, turn left and go past the computer workstations. Before you get all the way to the ODAI office suite, find the elevator that is just past the restrooms on your right. Take the elevator up to the second floor. When you exit the elevator, turn right, go toward the large staircase, and the Reading Room will be on your right. See the below floor plan of the third floor of the library for more detail. The room circled in red at the top of the image is the Reading Room.

Study Rooms 3301 and 3302 are on the third floor of the Strauss Health Sciences Library. To get to them, you can either take the large staircase that is to your left when you enter the front door of the library to the third floor, or you can go past the service desk into the alcove where you will find the elevator that you can take to the third floor. If you take the stairs, when you reach the top of the stairs, turn left to enter the hallway with the study rooms, and turn left again to find the last two study rooms in the row on your right. If you take the elevator, you'll need to go to your left to get to the west wall of the library. Go past the study booths until you get to the first two study rooms on your left. See the below floor plan of the third floor of the library for more details. Study Rooms 3301 & 3302 are the middle rooms circled in red.

To get to it, after entering the front door of the library, go past the service desk and turn right to enter the alcove with the elevator (or use the round staircase just past the service desk). Take the elevator (or the stairs) to the third floor. Once there, you will see signs directing you to the Tower room, which is to the left and past the study desks. See the floor plan of the third floor of the library below for more detail. The room circled in red further to the left in the floor plan is the Tower Room.

The Quiet Zone Study Pods are located on the second floor of the Strauss Health Sciences Library, directly above the ODAI office suite. The Quiet Zone Study Pods will be used for students with Private Room testing accommodations. To find the Quiet Zone Study Pods, after you enter the front door of the library, go past the large staircase on your left, turn left and go past the computer workstations. Before you get all the way to the ODAI office suite, find the elevator that is just past the restrooms on your right. Take the elevator up to the second floor. When you exit the elevator, turn right, and the Quiet Zone will be on your right. You will need to use your badge to enter the Quiet Zone. Once inside, your proctor will direct you to your assigned Study Pod. See the below floor plan for a map of the second floor of the library for more detail.
