Disability-Related Access

Accessibility Arrangements

The Colorado Convention Center is ADA accessible and easy to navigate.

Graduates

Graduates will be asked during the registration process to identify any disability-related accommodations that may be needed to participate fully in the commencement ceremonies. Ramps provide access to the stage for wheelchairs and anyone who is unable to negotiate stairs. Sign language interpreters are present at the ceremony and it is live-captioned as well. Service animals (not emotional support animals) are permitted at the ceremony and must be pre-communicated during registration for planning purposes.

If you would like to speak with the commencement coordinator about accessibility arrangements for the ceremony, please email commencement@cuanschutz.edu

Guests

Seating closer to the stage is provided for guests needing sign language interpreters and those who are vision or hearing impaired. Seating in this section also has wider aisles to accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, etc. to avoid blocking the aisles. Please contact the Commencement Office at commencement@cuanschutz.edu to communicate your needs so we can best serve you.

Service animals (not emotional support animals) are permitted at the ceremony.

Wheelchairs and scooters are not available for rent through the university but can be found locally through medical supply companies.
