Update on planned ChatGPT Edu launch, 3-19-2026

To all students, staff and faculty,

While we understand that two of our campuses are on Spring Break, we thought it was important to provide an update on the planned launch of our ChatGPT Edu environment as soon as possible. At the request of Faculty Council, we will be delaying student access to campus environments until Aug. 14. We have heard concerns from faculty about disruption to the learning environment and take Faculty Council concerns seriously. We fully endorse the right of faculty to establish and maintain their individual classroom expectations.

Per our previous announcement, all faculty and staff across the University of Colorado will be provided access on March 31 as planned.
