Gratitude and Growth

As we approach the holiday season, it’s a fitting time to reflect on all we’ve accomplished together ‒ and the many opportunities ahead. There’s so much to take pride in and even more to look forward to.

While this year has had its share of challenges, we’re in a position of strength and ready for what’s next. Your work helped secure $762 million in research awards and inspired $246 million in philanthropic gifts. Together with our hospital affiliates, we served 2.6 million patient visits and our economic impact topped $13.5 billion. And with more than 3,300 active patents and 1,100 technologies, our innovation enterprise is thriving.

I invite you to explore our annual report for a snapshot of the incredible progress you’ve made possible over the past year, and the six themes that will guide us into 2026 and beyond.

Compiling an annual report like this one is no small undertaking, as there are countless milestones and contributions to celebrate each year on this campus. The common thread in all our progress is you. Across our labs, classrooms, offices and clinics, it is your work that makes the difference.

As we head into Thanksgiving, I hope you find time to relax and enjoy the holiday. Thank you for making CU Anschutz such a special place to work, learn and serve. I’m proud to work alongside you as we deliver on our vital mission.

Sincerely,

Don Elliman
