Colorado AHEC helps address this challenge by creating pathways for students, supporting clinical training of providers in practice in high-need communities, and strengthening the healthcare workforce pipeline across the state.
Your Support Makes an Immediate Impact
A Year of Impact: 2024-2025 Key Stats:
845 students participated in health career pathway programs (CADAVERS, HOPE Program/Institute, AHEC Scholars, and COAHEC National Underserved Scholars).
747 graduate health professions students were supported by COAHEC Housing while completing clinical training rotations across Colorado which encourages their future service in Colorado's communities in need of providers.
274 students and clinical volunteers provided free healthcare screenings to over 800 community members, gaining invaluable inter-professional experience and providing a much needed service to Coloradans with low access to care.
