Leadership Statement

Celebrating You at "Together Again" Event, 4-5-22

Dear students, faculty and staff,

It is an exciting time at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Spring is upon us and, with it, an increase in activity on campus. As we welcome back more members of our community and settle into new routines, we would like to bring our campus together for a special appreciation event.

Check your inbox this afternoon for an invitation to Together Again: A Campus Celebration coming up Thursday, April 21, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. outside the new Anschutz Health Sciences Building.

To thank you for all you have done to keep #CUAnschutzTogether throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we will treat students, trainees, faculty and staff to free food as well as music, lawn games, prize drawings and opportunities to explore the new building.

These past two years have demanded much of us, and we have come a very long way together with your help. Please know that your hard work and adaptability have not gone unnoticed. Our students met the challenges of COVID-19 head-on ‒ from pivoting between in-person and online learning, to staffing campus checkpoints, volunteering on our campus and in our community, and so much more. Our faculty and staff worked tirelessly day in and day out to keep our campus running and our programs operational, stepping in wherever possible to find creative solutions to the countless complexities that this pandemic brought to our door.

By coming together in common purpose, you have kept our campus moving forward through each and every challenge the pandemic presented. Your leadership and courage are inspiring, and we will all benefit from our strong sense of community as we pursue the great many possibilities ahead.

We look forward to thanking you in person, and celebrating all you have made possible for CU Anschutz and those we serve.

With gratitude,

Don Elliman
