Launched last June , the AAI was created with a $50 million gift from The Anschutz Foundation to rapidly advance medical treatments and health innovations poised to make a transformational impact on patient care. In a tremendous response from our campus community, we received 165 letters of intent and considered 56 full proposals spanning novel treatments, technologies and approaches to improving lives. Over the months since, we have convened a scientific review committee of outside experts to assess which of these efforts best fit the intent of the AAI and hold potential to directly impact patients within the next three to five years.

The bold, ambitious ideas shared though this effort have shed light on new possibilities ahead and demonstrated the collaborative spirit that is a hallmark of our campus. We appreciate all who have taken part, and we look forward to celebrating the selected AAI awardees with our campus community.

For those unable to join us at Wednesday’s event, we will also share details of our awardees via email and on the AAI website.

With gratitude,
