New Website: Safe & Responsible Technology
Jun 24, 2026
To align with the branding updates across both the CU Anschutz and CU Denver campuses, Information Security and IT Compliance (ISIC) is now part of a unified brand under one Information Strategy and Services (ISS).
ISIC will continue to serve both campuses with information security and IT compliance services and support.
As part of the brand unification, the current ISIC website will be consolidated to be part of one, dual campus-branded unified ISS site for a more direct user experience. The new website launches mid-July 2026.
The redesigned website will have a new, user-tested navigation that is more intuitive so that you can quickly find the resources and services you are looking for. We have also simplified the design and technical language for a wider audience to make finding and digesting resources easier. Dual campus security and compliance information will now be found under the top navigation “Safe & Responsible Technology”.
Under this navigation you will be able to easily find common resources such as:
Report a Security Incident
IT Policies and Standards
Approved Software: Technology Reviewed for University Use
Common Cyber Attacks (phishing, smishing, MFA phishing)
Traveling Abroad with your CU Device
Encryption
More!
One of the larger changes you may notice is to the current "Technology Reviewed for IT Compliance” webpage. This page is being renamed to “Approved Software: Technology Reviewed for University Use” so that you can more easily find this resource that lists all the software and technology that has been reviewed for IT compliance and is either safe to use with university information or restricted. These applications may not have an enterprise license supported by ISS, but if it is approved, it will have a certificate of compliance that you can submit to the procurement office. This page is also getting an uplifted design with searchable categories so that you can quickly find the software you are looking for, or so that you can browse based on need if you don’t have a specific software in mind.
We are excited to offer this improved website experience, and our team is working diligently to ensure that all links on the current websites will be redirected to the appropriate content both on this site and our new Service Portal.
