Research

Along with community engagement, education, and patient care, research is one of the four pillars undergirding CU Anschutz's 2021-25 Strategic Framework. For the purposes of this strategic process, research is defined as:

the exploration of the most critical questions in healthcare with the facilities to support the entire spectrum of research, from the lab to patient applications, in a unique, collaborative environment. At the CU Anschutz Medical Center, research provides connections to abundant research opportunities and a network of collaborative relationships with specialists and leaders in their fields. For patients, effective research means faster, easier access to the newest, most innovative treatments.

Strategic Priorities in Research Working Group

The charge of the Strategic Priorities in Research Working Group is to:

  • Recommend 3-5 priorities of the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in research for the next five years.
  • Based on those priorities, develop and recommend 1-4 initiatives and key performance indicators (with milestones) that will demonstrate success.
  • Consider the broader campus community to create an important impact on the future of our campus and our stakeholders.
