Patient Care

Along with community engagement, education, and research, patient care is one of the four pillars undergirding CU Anschutz's 2021-25 Strategic Framework. For the purposes of this strategic process, patient care is defined as:

the provision of patient-focused care and treatment to ensure the well-being of patients. For the purposes of CU Anschutz's strategic priorities and initiatives, the emphasis will be on those patient care activities that emanate from the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. Current examples include (but are not limited to) the DAWN clinic, the Peer Mentored Care Collaborative that includes ECHO and Project CORE, as well as the campus health center, dental clinics, and nursing clinics.

Strategic Priorities in Patient Care Group

The charge of the Strategic Priorities in Patient Care Working Group is to:

  • Recommend 3-5 priorities of the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in patient care for the next five years.
  • Based on those priorities, develop and recommend 1-4 initiatives and key performance indicators (with milestones) that will demonstrate success.
  • Consider the broader campus community to create an important impact on the future of our campus and our stakeholders.
