U.S. News & World Report Rankings

Last week, we learned that UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital is now listed #15 in the country on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals Honor Roll for 2017-18, rising in the ranks from #20 just last year. This marks the highest an adult hospital in Colorado has ever scored in these prestigious annual rankings. More than 4,500 hospitals were considered this year, and those on the Honor Roll are among the country’s very best in care measurements, outcomes and safety.

Both University of Colorado Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado are ranked #1 in our state and rank highly in key specialty areas. This year, University of Colorado Hospital is nationally ranked in 11 specialty areas including #1 in pulmonology, a distinction shared with National Jewish Health, and #6 in diabetes and endocrinology. Children’s Hospital Colorado was once again recognized as a top hospital in the U.S., and has consistently numbered among the country’s best since U.S. News initiated the rankings more than two decades ago. According to the 2017-18 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings released in June, Children’s Colorado ranked in nine of the 10 recognized specialty areas, including five in the top 10.
