Steve VanNurden, MBA, wants CU Innovations to be known for one thing: how well it helps translate ideas from idealism into action. It’s a statement borrowed from Charlie Mayo, a founder of Mayo Clinic, where VanNurden began his career in innovation 34 years ago.

Last year CU Innovations’ activities resulted in 145 invention disclosures, 189 patents filed, 41 licensing deals, $375MM of startup financing, and $35MM of gross revenue to the University of Colorado campus having a significant economic impact both in Colorado and nationwide.
