Theme: What is new in Colorado?

When: The deadline to submit abstracts is September 20, 2021

Eligibility: Under-graduates, Health Professions’ Students, Residents, and Professionals (including faculty) are eligible to submit abstracts. We will accept finished or unfinished research.

General information


  • You must submit your abstract online through the web form that includes submission requirements. Emailed submissions will NOT be accepted.
  • There is no fee for abstract submission.
  • Limit your abstract to 500 words.
  • A NEAR Conference panel will review all submissions.
  • You will be notified via email regarding the acceptance status of your submission no later than October 1, 2021, along with information and directions on how to submit your video presentation.
  • You won’t need a poster. You will just need a PowerPoint, video, or photo.
  • Presentations will be on Tuesdays, 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm, October 26 through November 16, 2021.
  • Each presenter must provide a video presentation (3-5 minutes) to be shown at the lightning round.
  • Q & A session following the video lightning round will require all presenters to be present.
  • Video presentations will be available for viewing on our website seven (7) days before the event.
Abstract requirements

 

The abstract should include the following:

  • Abstract/Presentation title (does not count against word count)
  • Authors (does not count against word count)
  • Background/Needs assessment statement (why is it important for the audience to hear this information?)
  • Learning outcomes/objectives (what knowledge or skill will the learner take back with them?)
  • Methods or description of the program/activity
  • Results/outcomes
  • Conclusions

Suggested presentation topics should describe your efforts at the local, regional, and state level. We will accept research conducted between 2019-2021, either in progress or complete. The suggested topics below are not all-inclusive.
