Cost:           Free

Where:       Attendees will stay the week in dorms and learn at the University of Colorado –         Colorado Springs (UCCS) and travel to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz) in Aurora two of the days during the camp.

Why:           Attendees will learn alongside students like you from all over Colorado as you experience healthcare campuses and engage in hands-on learning.

Travel:        COAHEC will provide transportation from a location in your area.

Details:      The HOPE Institute will include: the Anatomy in Clay® learning system; hands-on workshops & labs; healthcare simulations; a cadaver lab experience; and presentations from UCCS and CU Anschutz faculty, staff, and students on their professions, their healthcare career journeys, and what it takes to get there.

Notice:       Per CU Anschutz policy, all HOPE Institute participants must be up-to-date (https://tinyurl.com/mryudfur) with their COVID-19 vaccines and need to provide proof of vaccination. 

Participants who are not up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccinations, or do not provide proof of vaccination must wear a mask and maintain physical distancing while on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus. 

We especially encourage Juniors and Seniors from rural or other backgrounds that are underrepresented in healthcare professions to apply!
