Julie earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in biobehavioral health at Pennsylvania State University in 2012 and went on to complete her Master of Public Health in epidemiology at Saint Louis University in 2015.
She joined the Center in 2016 as a project manager working in survey research with the Communication Climate Assessment Toolkit (C-CAT) to improve communication in organizational settings.
Her current role revolves around building a collaborative and innovative world-class empirical bioethics research enterprise at the University of Colorado. This includes grant and project management, fostering relationships with those interested in bioethics research, and assisting in the growth of the Center’s research arm in a variety of ways. She works closely with the Center's Director of Research, Dr. Eric Campbell to promote, support and perform bioethics research activities through the Center.
With a strong passion for service and social justice, Julie previously served with Rotary International on a global grant to bring clean water and sanitary bathrooms to Honduras. Currently, she is a member of the City of Aurora's Immigrant and Refugee Commission.
